A new public square for meeting and play in Saltaire, near Bradford, is supported by extensive public consultation. Enclosed by a protective plant-wall, large stone slabs form irregular seats, or platforms, sprouting greenery in between. Coloured synthetic materials reflect light and make safe edges.
